Its summer noaw! …Yes its only april but i dont care! A toystore downtown just made my day by putting this magical device outside their entrance:

So..i bought some!

And then there was christmas…

And i had to leave my PC for almost a month! And when i came back home there was exams and so in RL…

In WoW we also celebrate christmas alltho its called Winter veil, and is a season with lots of  gifts, candy, snowballs and special quests…

And ofcourse people were even more busy than last year because of the newly added ACIVEMENTS

Ofcourse i just had to complete them all, adding a new possible title to my name.. “Merrymaker” ElMona, lol

Before i went home for christmas i also managed to get to lvl 80..finally.. But while flying around thinking of wich mob should be granted the honor to give me the last few XP i needed to ding, i enter an undiscovered area and *poof*..aahw.. So no nice screenie of that..

As you might know, when lichking first came out i did not have a working pc, so i ended up beeing faar behind on all the lichking content… All these new instances, enchants, gems..AAAH, very frustrating not knowing wich faction i need rep with, or what gems are out there for my class..But getting there now i think..phew

My guild NEW DAWN
has now officially cleared all the pre-patch content, meaning we have killed every boss until the new 25-man instance is opened, yay! 😀 We should get out own achivement for doing it tho, because of the INSANE lagg Silvermoon struggles with..

Picked up this strangely cute looking worm the other day, seems like he will function best as a tank, and not do very much damage, having skills like Intervene and Last Stand..

So after i turned 74, i got to go the this magical town.. and guess what! It has a toystore! ❤

And its run by….

……And what do ya know..theres a pet store too!

And they are selling several items like :

Now, i should mention that there are 2 kinds of pets in WoW. You have the pets that belong to classes, like Hunter pets and Warlock pets. These are combat-pets that will help you i fights, like my belowed Anduril:

…hes named after the reforged shards of Narsil from the lord of the rings…*cough*

But anyhow, novelty pets or “non-combat pets” are small pets you can aquire in different ways troughout the game and they dont do much besides looking cute. And the stuff sold by this store helps making them even cuter. This is how my Sprite Darter Hatchling acted when i used [Fetch Ball], carrying the ball on his head, how cute!:

Scare the guano out of them!

So i was running around in Howling Fjord (yes this new continent has a somewhat Norwegian theme :D) Heading towards where i needed to talk to some dwarfs daughter to complete my latest quest. At that same place was a frustated gnome walking around, and as i needed the XP (experiance) i accepted his quest to go and pick up guano from the bats.

Guano is bat poo. And no, it wasnt as easy as picking up fom the ground. I had to literally “scare the guano out of them” by using firecrackers! Great… Bat shit dropping from the sky..

Yes…and this isnt the first quest in this game involving poo.. i think they might be a result of Blizz having “bring your kids to work-day”….”daddy, daddy make the horsie do a poo!!”

Hello Real World!

Leeeeroooooy Jeeeenkiiiiins! Was the first wow-celebrity, and this video is a nice introduction to the World Of Warcraft…(this is a video of a raid recorded in the game, and the people are talking together trough a voice-chat program called ventrilo) even if you dont like gaming, the world of warcraft is so jammed with popcultural references, that i belive everyone can enjoy it at some level 🙂

So… I thought i might just make a blog about how things are in Northrend!

For those of you that are scratching your heads trying to fire out what or where Northrend is, i can tell ya that its the new continent in the mmorpg (massive multiplayer online roleplaying game, or massivt flerspiller pålogget rollespill..eller noe sånt.. på norsk) World Of Warcraft. If you have seen my previous blog, i posted there some pictures from the release of the new expancion pack in Oslo.

To give you a short idea of the concept of this game; you make a character or a so-called toon or avatar. You can choose looks and abilities for this char. You can decide if you want to be a strong warrior that kills monsters with the help of swords and maces, or you can be a mage who uses magic like frostbolts and polymorph to defeat enemies. There are also several other classes wich i might explain more about later…

The point of the game is to travel around in the world, doing “quests” wich are different types of assignements that require you to kill a certain type of monster, or gather a specific item. Upon doing so you gain “experiance” wich are points that eventually let you increase in level. (gaining a level is also called to “ding”) When you gain a level your character will get more power (get stronger or get stronger magic etc.) and can travel to other places and take on harder asignements and eventually take part in raids. Raids are when up to 40 players work together to kill a certain monster, or attack a city. Because these raids concist of different human beeings from all over the world, you get a pretty colorful community. People are usually a part of a guild (“laug” in norwegian) wich basically is a team of players that regulary do raids together or just hang out in-game. But thats another long chapter…

My character is a Night elf hunter named ElMona, and these are the days of a beast masters life….
